Specific IgG antibodies against antigens of Borrelia burgdorferi s.l. are detected in the serum, plasma or CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) using a serological method (ELISA). IgG antibodies are highly specific and appeared in the late phase of Lyme disease.
